What, no gym?

When I started MoranWorks OUT!, I debated on whether or not to find gym space to rent, for use with clients. I decided to skip the gym rental (at least for now) and focus on meeting folks literally where they are, in their homes (or you can come to mine) for a few reasons. Here they are.

One: Many people have had negative experiences working out in a gym. Maybe they have felt out of place in an environment that feels like “jock” territory. Maybe they have been put off by crowding. Maybe they have been hassled by others in the gym. Maybe they’ve received one too many pieces of unsolicited advice. I get it. I’ve personally experienced all of those things myself.

Two: In our “post-Covid-19” world, some folks want or need to keep their exposure to other folks to a minimum. Maybe they are a caregiver for someone who has a compromised immune system, or they themselves have a compromised immune system.

Three: It’s easier to be consistent if someone comes to you. There’s no travel time (for you); one only has to open the door.

Four: If you’re working out with equipment you have at home or using body weight, you can work out anywhere.

Think working with me might be right for you? Let me know.
